Prerequisites
Before you can apply Classifications, the Classifications must exist in an Ontology in Encord. You can create an Ontology, that includes Classifications, from the Encord platform or using the Encord SDK.Apply Classifications
Once the Ontology (that includes your Classifications) is included in your Project, you can then apply your Classifications selected images/videos or to Collections.Bulk Classify Behavior
Things to keep in mind when applying Classifications:- Applies the Classification and all Classification settings to all selected images/frames or images/frames in a Collection.
- If images/frames already have Classifications applied to them, the new Classification and the settings for the Classification are not applied to the images/frames unless you select to overwrite them.
- Applying Classifications affects images/frames in every status of a Workflow (Annotate, Review, and Complete). This means that images/frames that have been annotated and reviewed can have changes made directly to the images/frames without any further review.
- Images/frames that do not have Classifications, regardless of the Workflow status, have the Classifications and settings applied to them.
- Annotators can see the Classification (and make changes) in their tasks, Reviewers can see the Classification (and make changes) in their tasks, but only Admins can see the Classification (and make changes) if the images/frames are in the Complete state.
Overwriting Classifications and Classification settings cannot be undone. Applying Classifications in a Collection affects images/frames in every status of a Workflow (Annotate, Review, and Complete). This means that images/frames that have been annotated and reviewed can have changes made directly to the images/frames without any further review.
