IndexData Management
  • Add data from Index to Projects directly: Users can now select data within Index and add it directly to a Dataset or Project. This streamlines Dataset and Project creation and dramatically improves performance when adding millions of items.
May 13
Analytics
  • Consensus Agreement Tables: You can now track annotator agreement and reviewer alignment directly in the Analytics for Review and Refine Consensus Projects.
April 30
Data Management
  • Continuous data flow: Connect a cloud storage folder directly to your Project and keep it automatically in sync. New files are added as they arrive. Filters can be used to control exactly which files land in your Project.
  • Issues filtering: Reviewers can now filter Issues by object class and comment keyword, making it significantly easier to triage and action feedback on tasks with large volumes of detailed issue threads.
April 27
Consensus ReviewEditor Settings
  • Hide annotator usernames in Consensus Review: Admins can now toggle a Project setting to hide annotator usernames during consensus review tasks, making it impossible to identify who created each label or correspond labels to the same annotator within a task thereby preventing reviewer bias.
  • Scrollable data group grids: Large Data Groups no longer force tiles to shrink to an unusable size. Use the new Data group scrollable tile threshold Editor setting to activate scrolling automatically. Grids below the threshold stay fixed, while larger ones become scrollable with a persistent scrollbar. Also enables scrolling within individual tiles, such as long text files.
  • Hide all approved labels: Reviewers can now instantly hide all approved labels with a single toggle, making it easier to focus on pending work without distraction.
April 24
Data Management
  • Auto Data Groups: Now generally available to all customers. Simply select a source folder and Encord analyzes the files, suggest grouping rules, and automatically creates Data Groups without requiring SDK scripts or manual intervention.
April 16
WorkflowsAgentsWebhooks
  • Agents in Workflows: Agents from the Agents Catalog can now be added as nodes in your Workflows and run directly from the Project Queue. Previously, agents could only be triggered manually from the Editor or required extensive custom setup.
  • Webhook Signature Verification: Every webhook request from Encord now includes signature headers so you can verify that requests genuinely originated from Encord and have not been tampered with. Verification is optional but recommended for production integrations.

Label EditorMetadata

Metadata Panel for Taskers

  • View Metadata: Users can view task metadata directly within the Label Editor using a new metadata panel. You can now:
    • Toggle the panel on or off using the new button
    • Copy data directly from the panel
    • Click URLs to open them in a new tab
    • Panel content updates automatically based on the active tile in a Data Group
March 27
IndexCuration
  • Labels in Index (General Release): Now available to all Index customers, enabling label-based exploration and filtering across entire Datasets. View and compare ground truth labels and model predictions with visual previews of bounding boxes, polygons, and other label types.
March 19
Consensus
  • Improved review UX for consensus classifications:
    • Easier label selection; clear visibility of annotator agreements
    • Toggle between “By annotator” and “By label” modes
    • Expand/collapse functionality for efficient classification review.
March 13
Data Groups
  • Data Groups (General Release): You can now create, manage, and label multiple files as a single task with Encord’s Data Groups. This release introduces instant interactions across tiles, cross-tile instances for consistent object labeling, global classifications, and flexible tile management. Data Groups is a powerful and intuitive way to build complex labeling tasks with different types of media.
March 5
AgentsAutomated Labeling
  • Agents Catalog: You can now browse, configure, and deploy pre-built agents directly in Encord with zero code required. The Agents Catalog makes automation accessible with no engineering resources, self-hosted services or custom API integrations needed. Custom agents remain fully supported alongside the new catalog.
February 3
SAM 3
  • SAM 3 (General Release): SAM 3 has now graduated from early access and is available to all customers with SAM access.
January 27
SAM 3
  • SAM 3 (Early Access): You can now detect and label all similar objects based on an existing label. This works for unusual or highly specific items that SAM 3 may not recognize by name. Detected objects are first created in a preview state and are only recorded as label creation events when you confirm, keeping analytics clean if you start over or discard the results.
January 22
Data Management
  • Auto-Refresh Cloud Sync Folders: Cloud-synced folders now refresh automatically once per day, so new files in connected S3 and GCS buckets appear in Encord without manual refreshes or custom automation.
