Encord supports curation of data with geographical custom metadata. You can filter data by geographical custom metadata, but Encord provides a Map View to select/filter data using geo-borders.

STEP 1: Apply Geospatial Custom Metadata

Before you do anything, you need to apply geospatial custom metadata to your data. To learn how to apply geospatial custom metadata:
  1. Create a Metadata Schema
  2. Apply geospatial custom metadata on new data or existing data.

STEP 2: Filter Data

Use the following ways to filter geospatial custom metadata:
  • Custom metadata filter
  • Map View
  1. Go to Index > Files. The Files page appears with a list of all folders you are a part of in Encord.
  2. Click into a Folder.
  3. Click Explorer.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • Filter the data units using a custom metadata field.
    • Use the Map View to select/filter the data units.
