Document Label Support

Documents support the following label types:

  • Bounding boxes
  • Polygons
  • Bitmasks
  • Classifications

Keep this in mind when creating your Ontology to label your documents.

The color you specify for each object label in your ontology can make a big difference in the ease and effectiveness of labelling items. For example, lighter colours are more difficult to see on a white background.

Label Documents

Label display settings can help provide a better labelling experience for each annotator.

Press and hold the SHIFT key while using your mouse/trackpad to move around each page of a document.

Label PDFs

Use Show text outline feature when labelling documents to streamline your annotation process. When used with object label hotkeys, labelling becomes a smooth efficient process.

Bounding Boxes

Click the Show text outline to enable the feature and then press the hotkey for the bounding box, and the label appears around the area you highlight.

Bounding boxes are the quickest way to label text in the Label Editor.

Bitmasks

Click the Show text outline to enable the feature and then press the hotkey for the bitmask, and then start labelling.

Polygons

Click the Show text outline to enable the feature and then press the hotkey for the polygon, and then start labelling.
