Azure Blob

To create an Azure Blob integration, click the + Add integration button in the Integrations tab. This will pop up the 'Add bucket integration' chooser. Please select Azure at the top of the chooser. You will need to be an administrator of your Azure Tenant in order to enable this integration.

You can add the cord-integrator application by following this link. If logged into the Encord platform, on a successful addition you will be redirected to the Azure integration screen.

Grant storage account and container permissions to cord-integrator#

The cord-integrator must be granted two types of permissions in order to function:

  • The Storage Blob Data Contributor role at the container levelAdding the 'Storage Blob Data Contributor' role to the cord-integrator service principal
  • The Storage Blob Delegator role at the storage account levelAdding the 'Storage Blob Delegator' role to the cord-integrator service principal at the storage account level

Creating the integration in the Encord platform#

Navigate to your account settings from the dropdown on the top right.

Open the Integrations tab and click the Create integration button.

Create the integration by selecting Azure, choosing a name for the integration and entering the Tenant ID of your Azure directory, and the storage account your containers reside in.

Testing your integration#

To test that Encord can sync with your Azure storage, click the Test cloud integration button next to the bin icon.

If the sync is successful, you will see a message saying that the integration is functional.
