# Beta.scene.layout

Tile and timeline layouts for Scenes in the label editor.

Assign a [SceneLayout](https://docs.encord.com/sdk-documentation/sdk-references/beta.scene.layout.md#scenelayout-objects) to `SceneBuilder.layout` before upload, or update a registered
Scene with `StorageItem.update(scene_layout=...)`.

## Scene3DViewerTile Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class Scene3DViewerTile(_SceneLayoutModel)
```

A tile that shows the 3D viewer. A layout can contain at most one.

## SceneImageTile Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class SceneImageTile(_SceneLayoutModel)
```

A tile that shows an image stream, referenced by its stream name.

## SceneTimeSeriesTile Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class SceneTimeSeriesTile(_SceneLayoutModel)
```

A tile that shows a time series stream as a chart, referenced by its stream name.

## SceneTileLayoutDirection Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class SceneTileLayoutDirection(str, Enum)
```

How a [SceneTileLayout](https://docs.encord.com/sdk-documentation/sdk-references/beta.scene.layout.md#scenetilelayout-objects) splits its space: `ROW` side by side, `COLUMN` stacked.

## SceneTileLayout Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class SceneTileLayout(_SceneLayoutModel)
```

A split of the space into two panes, each holding a tile ID or another split.

## SceneLayout Objects

```python theme={"dark"}
class SceneLayout(_SceneLayoutModel)
```

The tiles of a Scene and how they are arranged.

Every tile in `tiles` must be used in `layout` or `timeline`, and `timeline` can only
list time series tiles.
